Global Insulation News & Analysis
Mega-Temp™ Insulation is ideal for automobile thermal issues

September 5, 2010 - Ferrari 458 Italia Supercar Is Recalled

Source: http://wheels.blogs.nytimes.com

Analysis: Mega-Temp™ Insulation is the ideal technology to solve such automobile thermal issues. Since: it is only one millimeter thick; can coat any geometry in a vehicle; greatly reduces thermal flow on coated surfaces; and weighs less than ten grams per square foot, racing cars as well as all others can benefit immensely by its use.

Mega-Temp™ Insulation was created to handle Space Station exposures

August 1, 2010 - Cooling system fault hits International Space Station

Source: http://www.bbc.co.uk

Analysis: High altitude research craft require insulation systems that can work simultaneously in hot and cold exposures. World War II originated products cannot do justice for astronauts if Environmental Control Systems fail. Mega-Temp™ Insulation was created to handle such exposures with ease.

Mega-Temp™ Insulation is ideal for rail cars

July 22, 2010 - Germans hot and bothered by sizzling trains

Source: http://www.bbc.co.uk

Analysis: Reducing the sun's radiative load into the rail car must take precedence over attempting, by the use of air conditioning, to mitigate its thermal effects afterward. Air conditioning systems typically are too slow to react in quickly reducing an increasing thermal radiant gradient that cars experience in the summer months; such systems should be used in a secondary role, not a primary. An insulation, as Mega-Temp™, would act as a shield to the radiative heat flux experienced in the rail cars from the summer sun. As such, its "Cocoon of Protection™" would work and this would allow air conditioning systems on board the trains to perform reasonable tasks. At less than ten [10] grams per square foot, Mega-Temp™ Insulation would save a rail car weight [by using a smaller air conditioning system].
